A charming and unspoilt Cotswold Village that has never looked back since it was named the "Prettiest Village in England". It takes its name from the ruins of a Roman castle that can be seen at the top of a hill.
It is difficult to believe but it is true: this inland village was the set for the port scenes in the musical Doctor Doolittle, the earlier version of the film with Tony Newley et al.
