Calbourne is a very small village. It is totally unspoilt and a perfect answer to our yearning for the 'Good Old Days'. It appears that nothing here has changed much for many years , except perhaps for a greater abundance of flowers.
One of Calbourne's little streets is very famous : with it's low stone cottages , some thatched , some tiled , it's profusion of flowers and it's air of peace and calm.Winkle St is full of old charm.
Calbourne Water Mill and Museum of Country Life is a superb example of a working 17th century water mill. Amid idyllic rural scenery, country life through the centuries is displayed here through a collection of objects and domestic implements.
