Here is where the much-loved espadrille, admired for its comfort throughout the world, meets the leather shoe. We are delighted to offer our newest find: the hand-stitched leather espadrille.
TREASURES of the SOUTH WEST has found a real treasure nestling in the foothills of the Pyrénées: a manufacturer of leather espadrilles. These shoes have the classic natural jute rope sole, with a thin layer rubber on the outside, just like the standard canvas espadrille. But the uppers are made of a lovely soft leather, and there is a comfortable leather insole.
These shoes come in a variety of models, some just slip-on but others with laces or buckles. There is even a model lined with warm wool from those hardy Pyreneean sheep, ensuring you the comfort of the natural espadrille even in the harshest of winters!
All these shoes are hand-stitched. There is a limited production so there is no point in ordering thousands! And, as you would expect with any leather hand-stitched shoe, they are rather more expensive than the classic canvas espadrille.

The table below shows the approximate equivalent US and UK shoe sizes for the European system, and the overall length of the sole in centimetres. Because the conversions are at best approximate - some people say on the generous side - if in doubt measure your foot..NOTE: Bear in mind that the lengths given are the average length of the outside sole. The inside will, of course, be smaller

IMPORTANT NOTE on our EXCHANGE POLICYThese espadrilles are made to order. We do not hold stock - that way we can keep the prices real low. But it means that unfortunately we are unable to exchange espadrilles for any reason apart from defect in manufacture. If you are in any doubt about the size and you are thinking of buying more than one pair, try one pair first for fit. It is better to err on the large side - you can always add an insole or put a tuck in the fabric - than to get too small.

VAT: The prices are EXCLUDING VAT. European Union customers should note we have to add VAT. If you are a European Union customer not in France you can buy ex-VAT by providing your VAT number. Customers outside the European Union do not have to worry about this nasty European habit. Prices are quoted in Euros, because that is what will be charged. We cannot give exact dollar or UK conversions because of the vagaries of the international money markets.You can get today's middle rate exchange by using the converter at right, but the exact amount charged to your credit account will depend on the rate when your card is debited, and the rate used by your bank. |

We offer these espadrilles direct from the manufacturer. Use the form below to order your shoes, request a quote or send us a comment. To order you can use the form below or, if you know what you want, you can go to our secure ordering form.
POSTAGE & INSURANCE: The prices are EXCLUSIVE of post and packaging. P&P to, for example, the United States will be around 8 euros for one pair, plus insurance if you want it. Espadrilles will be dispatched by air mail (or in Europe first class) unless you specify otherwise. You can ask for surface mail (second class) or express but note: express is very expensive. We no longer offer dispatch by Fedex as we have found them unreliable.
If your package comes to more than 2 kilos it is automatically insured. If you want insurance for packages less than that tick the insurance box for items. The extra charge is about 5 euros.
PAYMENT: The easiest way to pay is by credit card: we accept VISA and MASTERCARD. You can Email us your credit card number or, if you prefer, fax us on: +33 (0) 5 59 38 99 11.
