Nay is a charming town on the Eastern borders of the Béarn, on the Gave de Pau as it flows down from the mountains round Lourdes. With Oloron it is important for making the Basque berets, but for the tourist it has managed to keep the bastide atmosphere.
If you are in the area round the time of its annual fête, the fireworks on the river are a must.
